In My Memory - Gran

G'day Everyone,

Happy Monday!

I'm sharing a new idea for a series today - "In My Memory", where I journal specifically about memories from the past. 

I journal a lot about the here and now, even my wishes for the future, and from time to time I document memories of the past. I love doing this when I print photos I love from years ago. I decided to create this series to focus on one event, topic, person etc specifically and dive deep into that memory with a double page spread. 

I chose my Gran as my first episode, being that she was a champion of every Creative endeavor I undertook. Please excuse the tears I couldn't shake, I tried many times to film a version where I wasn't crying but I don't even know how that's possible. I am happy, I promise, I'm just also very sensitive and sentimental - and grief is not something I feel like I talk about very eloquently. 

Please don't watch this video today if you have experiences with grief and death that you don't want stirred up today. I am allowing myself these days to deal with these thoughts and feelings, but it might not be something you want to deal with today so please take this as a trigger warning.
