"Concepts 2 Stamping" LIVE WORKSHOP
Learn how to #stampanillustration with the original jlbCREATIVE "Concepts 2" Stamp Set
LIVE COMPONENT OF THIS WORKSHOP HAS NOW CONCLUDED. THIS WORKSHOP IS INTENDED TO RUN LIVE AGAIN IN THE FUTURE, PLEASE WAIT UNTIL THEN TO JOIN THE NEXT LIVE WORKSHOP, OTHERWISE A FULL REPLAY VIDEO OF THE SEPTEMBER 26, 2020 CLASS IS AVAILABLE IN THIS COURSE.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS COURSE IS FOR THE "CONCEPTS 2" STAMP SET, NOT THE ORIGINAL "CONCEPTS" OR "CONCEPTS 3"
When I think of stamping I think of piles and piles of wooden blocks and sentiments that I might use once per year. I've always loved to play with them but never overcome the guilt associated with collecting and barely using them. When I first designed my stamp sets I decided to approach them from an art journaling perspective, and create stamps that I could use over and over again with open ended results. This led to stamps that I would use as blueprints to jumpstart my illustration process. Cut to 2020 and I now have specific stamp sets for conceptualizing and creating fully finished artworks. Together, we will learn how to use the “Concepts” set to stamp to create illustrations and a finished watercolor piece.
This Workshop is typically held in-person and has been adjusted for a LIVE format online. You will need the jlbCREATIVE "Concepts 2" 6x8 Stamp Set (plus ink and acrylic block + mixed media supplies) for this workshop and please note the 120 minute LIVE lesson will be hosted via Zoom call on Saturday September 26th 2020 at 10am PDT. The live stream will be recorded and uploaded within the workshop afterwards for anyone wishing to replay and re-visit the lesson.
stamp set required for this workshop
This lesson is for intermediate to advanced levels; an understanding of the original "Concepts Stamping" Workshop will help you transition through the lesson easier. You do not need to have done the original workshop to do this one, but a basic understanding of "Concepts Stamping" and the "Stamp an Illustration" technique (stamping images to draw over) is assumed. You are more than welcome to have any other artists in the household join you if you wish, I do not require separate purchases for each student within a household.
This workshop will remain open for anyone wishing to purchase after the live stream, until such time as a newer LIVE version is offered and replaces this one. All currently enrolled students will keep access to their purchased workshop.
Can't wait to see you there, it's sure to be loads of fun!
- James.
